THERMISER ROLLING DOOR

Model Number: ESD20

ENERGY-EFFICIENT CLIMATE CONTROL

Thermiser Insulated Rolling Doors are designed
for exterior use and help maintain different temperatures on each side of the door. They are an ideal choice for use in environments that require climate control, security, durability, distribution, industrial, hospitality, retail and other applications.

PERFORMANCE

Thermiser doors roll up compactly, require little to no maintenance and deliver a low life cycle cost. It can be configured to meet a maximum operational windload of 20 PSF. We also warrant this door for 50,000 cycles as standard.

SEAL THE BUILDING ENVELOPE

Foamed in place insulation offers superior protection against the elements, improved security and reduced sound transmission. The Thermiser Door helps seal the building envelope and keeps noise in or out.

Insulated Roll Up Door

Our energy-efficient Thermiser® Insulated Rolling Doors combines the robustness of a rolling steel door with foamed in place insulation.  Two layers of formed steel combined with foamed in insulation make the Thermiser® overhead door one of the most secure rolling doors available.

Insulation is just the first step in environmental control. If cold or warm air can escape around the door, it is not doing the complete job. Our Thermiser® insulated doors also have our patented door perimeter sealing system, providing a full barrier against the elements.

Not only does this offers superior protection against the elements, improved security and reduced sound transmission – both outside your building, sealing the building envelope, and inside.

Just like any Cookson roll up door, our insulated doors are all custom manufactured to your specifications. With multiple options in overhead door materials, finishes, operators and more, the Thermiser® insulated roll up door is not only a top choice but can meet any need our solution you have.

PERSONALIZE WITH VIBRANT GRAPHICS

Customize your next Thermiser insulated door with ImageMatch™ Finish! It is a unique ultra violet-cured printing process that produces vibrant, full-color designs. This option allows you to replicate any logo, design or photo with impressive detail.

Usage

The doors are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day – that’s 50,000 cycles for the lifetime of the door.

If your requirements call for more than 20 cycles per day, or 50,000 cycles lifetime, visit our line of High Performance Doors.

Available Operators

Our doors can open by motor, chain, hand-crank, or push-up operation, depending on size, weight and/or frequency of operation.

  • Model MG: A medium duty operator for doors that will cycle no more than 20 times per day
  • Model SG: A super duty, full logic operator for larger doors or doors which may periodically cycle more than 20 times per day

Unique Design Solutions

Mullions

There are multiple mullion options –  corner, fixed and removable.

Pass Doors

Hollow metal man door and hinged frame available within a curtain.

Sloping or Irregular Openings

Our special bottom bar designs can address these conditions.

Superimposed Doors

Combine two different curtains on the same opening. Typically, an insulated door is used in conjunction with an open design rolling grille to provide ventilation. When extreme weather or sound resistance is desired, we can provide superimposed/double insulated curtain assemblies.

Performance Upgrades

Magic Switch

A touchless activation device designed to open and close doors with the wave of a hand. It’s compatible with all operators that have a primary entrapment device and are configured for momentary contact to close. The Magic Switch is easy to retrofit in an existing application and features a clean, stainless steel face plate.

High Cycle Springs

Heavy duty springs manufactured to withstand cycles of 100,000.

Seismic Performance Validation

We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.

Safety and Protection

SafetyGard UL325 Light Curtain

A UL325 approved non-contact primary entrapment device that prevents damage to an object in the door’s pathway in addition to minimizing damage to the closure itself.

Entrapment Protection Devices

Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object.  If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.

Guide-Mounted Interlocks

An electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if locking device is not first disengaged.

Heavy Duty Bottom Bar

The HDBB is 350% stronger than traditional bottom bars, preventing forklift damage to your Service or Insulated Door.  The HDBB can pay for itself after the first impact and significantly reduce future maintenance costs.

Locking

A wide variety of locking options are available to meet your security needs.

Electronic AutoLock

The Patent Pending Electronic AutoLock increases the overall security and strength of the Extreme High Performance Grille.

Quick Repair Door

Quick Repair Doors doors are provided with 3′ or 6′ of extra curtain, an impactable bottom bar and removable lower guide sections.  These features allow for faster repair of slat damage, reducing downtime and maximizing the lifetime value of your door.

Rolling Door Protector (RDP)

The RDP eliminates costly fork truck damage to coiling doors by creating a physical barrier at the top of the door that absorbs impacts.

Weather Seal

Include weather seals at the guides and bottom bar with an internal hood baffle at coil housing. Lintel mounted nylon brush seal also available.

Static Wind Load

Can be configured to withstand the full range of specific wind load requirements including missile impact ratings.

Operational Wind Load

Can be configured to withstand an operational wind load of 20 PSF.

CycleShieldTM Powder Coat Finish

The CycleShield finish is provided as standard on our high performance doors. This specialized powder coating system features a low coefficient of friction wear-resistance, and includes a base coat consistent with ASTM A653. A zirconium pre-treatment is applied, followed by a rust-inhibiting, baked-on polyester powder coat.
