Classic swing-open carriage house character in a modern steel sectional door. DecaTrim™ II wood-grain overlays across 22 designs — 11 arched and 11 square-top — with R-12.12 foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation and a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
The Wayne Dalton 8600 Carriage House Steel door is engineered to deliver the timeless look of a traditional swing-open carriage door with the performance, durability, and low maintenance that Oklahoma City homeowners need. Every 8600 installed by DOORTEC is backed by over 60 years of installation expertise and full factory-trained service.
Foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation delivers an independently tested U-factor of .13 per ANSI/DASMA 105 — and a calculated section R-value of 12.12 — making the 8600 one of the most thermally efficient carriage house steel doors available. Snug-fitting tongue-and-groove section joints lock out wind infiltration. A bottom weather seal stops drafts, dust, and debris at the floor line. The result is a garage that stays noticeably cooler in Oklahoma's triple-digit summers and warmer through ice-storm winters — while also reducing street noise inside.
DecaTrim™ II overlay boards are specially treated to resist termites, fungal decay, and long-term weather damage — no painting, staining, or rot repair ever required. Heavy-duty 14-gauge hinges connect each section with maximum strength for stable, smooth operation over the life of the door. Ball-bearing rollers fitted with nylon wheels and solid steel shafts run quietly and dependably through tens of thousands of cycles. For even longer service life, an optional 25,000-cycle spring upgrade is available — more than twice the life of a standard torsion spring — ideal for households with high daily door usage.
The 8600 is available with WindSafe® structural reinforcements — engineered to withstand specific high-wind pressures and meet local building codes in areas with demanding wind load requirements. For Oklahoma City homeowners in areas prone to severe spring weather, DOORTEC can assess your property's wind load requirements and specify the appropriate WindSafe® reinforcement option. Proper door selection for wind load compliance is the homeowner's responsibility; consult a certified engineer or your local building code official for requirements specific to your location.

The Wayne Dalton 8600 offers 22 distinctive carriage house panel designs — 11 square-top and 11 arched-top — each richly embossed with a wood-grain pattern and finished with DecaTrim™ II overlay boards. Every design is available in both 7-foot and 8-foot door heights. Single-car doors are for widths up to 12'; wider doors use a double-car design. Windows are only compatible with square-top overlay designs. Contact DOORTEC at (405) 720-7107 to discuss which panel style best suits your Oklahoma City home's architecture.
The 8600 Series is available in six factory paint finishes — White, Almond, Sandstone, Terra Bronze, Brown, and Black. Every color option pairs the door body with a white DecaTrim™ II overlay, creating a distinctive two-tone carriage house appearance. Overlays are always white regardless of body color selection. Color swatches shown here are digital approximations only — always request a physical sample from DOORTEC before making your final color decision, as monitor output can vary significantly from actual door finish.
Overlays are provided in white only. Format shown is Door Color / Overlay Color.
Wayne Dalton offers 12 window configurations for the 8600 — 6 Routed styles and 6 Framed Insert styles — across three arched toppers and three straight geometric designs in each category. Windows add natural light and visual detail to Square Top panel designs. Note: windows are not available with Arched Top overlay designs.
Built with a clean top section — the wood overlay is routed directly from a wood face panel, creating flush, seamless window openings. Available with smooth overlay only.
Built with a classic wood door construction — the top section uses wood overlay boards framing the window opening. Available with both smooth and wood grain overlays.

*1/8" standard. Window patterns shown for typical single-car door. Spacing may vary by door size.
Inspired by the artisanry of traditional blacksmiths, Wayne Dalton's decorative hardware collections give the 8600 Carriage House Steel door its signature Old World character. Hinge straps, pull handles, corner brackets, and other accent pieces draw on early Americana and European blacksmith traditions. Every piece is forged from black powder-coated steel with a distinctive hand-hammered finish. Standard hardware kits include 4 hinge straps and 2 pull handles; double car doors receive 2 complete kits. Hammered knockers, clavos (decorative nails/studs), and corner brackets are also available to further personalize your door. Additional accent pieces can be mixed and matched within collections. Pull handle fit in center stile depends on panel design and door size.

Wayne Dalton warrants your 8600 Series door sections against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own your home — no time limit, no exceptions.
The foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation is warranted against degradation and R-value loss for the full life of the door under original ownership.
All springs, cables, tracks, hinges, and hardware components are covered under Wayne Dalton's limited hardware warranty for 12 months from the installation date.

The Wayne Dalton 8600 is the most installed carriage house steel door in the Oklahoma City metro for good reason — it delivers authentic carriage door character with the durability and low maintenance that OKC homeowners actually need. Whether you're replacing an aging door on a traditional ranch in Moore, enhancing the curb appeal of a craftsman home in Edmond, or finishing out a new custom build in Yukon, the 8600's 22 design options give you the right look for virtually any architectural style.
DOORTEC has been Oklahoma City's authorized Wayne Dalton dealer since 1964 — over 60 years and 140,000+ installations across Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, Midwest City, Guthrie, El Reno, and Tulsa. Our factory-trained technicians carry the full 8600 line in stock and can typically schedule installation within days, not weeks. Call (405) 720-7107 or request a free quote above to get started.
With 11 square-top and 11 arched-top panel designs — Ashburn, Richmond, Springfield, Arlington, Lexington, Somerset, Brunswick, Savannah, Bellview, Kingston, and Westfield — the 8600 adapts to Colonial, European, Craftsman, Mediterranean, and contemporary home styles alike. Six factory paint options (White, Almond, Sandstone, Terra Bronze, Brown, and Black) cover everything from crisp traditional exteriors to darker, more dramatic finishes. Choose smooth or wood grain overlay texture at no extra charge. Add any of 12 window styles and 7 decorative hardware collections to complete the look.
Oklahoma City faces more climate extremes than nearly any other major metro — triple-digit summer heat, ice storms, high spring winds, and rapid temperature swings. The 8600's R-12.12 foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation with a DASMA-verified U-factor of .13 ranks it among the best-insulated carriage house doors available. Tight tongue-and-groove section joints and a full-width bottom weather seal close the thermal envelope at every seam, reducing heat transfer and keeping conditioned air where it belongs.
For OKC homeowners in high-wind exposure areas, the 8600 is available with WindSafe® structural reinforcements designed to meet specific local building code wind load requirements. DOORTEC's commercial team can assess your property and recommend the right reinforcement package. DecaTrim™ II overlay boards are treated to resist termites and fungal decay — a real benefit in Oklahoma's humid summers where untreated wood overlays can deteriorate within years. The net result is a carriage house door that genuinely holds up to Oklahoma's weather without demanding anything from you.
Every 8600 installed by DOORTEC comes backed by Wayne Dalton's Lifetime Limited Warranty on door sections and DOORTEC's own workmanship guarantee. Our installers are factory-trained, background-checked, and fully licensed and insured in Oklahoma. We handle full system installs including opener mounting, track alignment, spring tensioning, and safety reversal testing — then walk you through everything before we leave. For service after installation, DOORTEC's technicians are available throughout Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, Midwest City, Guthrie, El Reno, and Tulsa.
