The 8680 is offered in four distinctive panel designs, each featuring a unique wood-grain fiberglass surface. A cherry grain adorns Sonoma panels, oak lends character to horizontal and vertical raised panels, and mahogany-style grain embellishes horizontal V-groove panels. Seven-foot doors use three-section styling; eight-foot doors use four sections.

*Doors more than 9' wide in Horizontal V-Groove design have a vertical seam added for structural support. Larger sizes available up to 14' high and 18' wide depending on design.
Choose from 10 elegant stained finishes that enhance the natural wood grain of your fiberglass door. A top clear coat may need to be periodically reapplied to maintain the factory finish. Online swatches are digital representations only — always request physical samples before finalizing your color selection.

Each panel design uses a distinct, authentic wood-grain pattern embedded in the fiberglass surface. The grain type is determined by your choice of panel design, not the stain color.

Wayne Dalton's decorative hardware collections bring an authentic Old World character to the 8680's natural wood appearance. Hinge straps, pull handles, knockers, corner brackets, and clavos are all forged from black powder-coated steel with a hand-hammered finish. Kits include four hinges and two pull handles; double car doors receive two complete sets.

For Oklahoma City homeowners who want the unmistakable beauty of a real wood garage door without the ongoing maintenance demands, the Wayne Dalton 8680 Designer Fiberglass door is the answer. The 8680 is a favorite across Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, and Midwest City for good reason — its artful wood-grain fiberglass surface is virtually indistinguishable from real wood at a glance, while engineering the warping, cracking, and rotting that Oklahoma's climate would inflict on real wood doors out of the equation entirely.
The fiberglass surface is bonded to a solid steel frame and filled with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation rated at R-11, making the 8680 one of the most thermally capable wood-look garage doors available. Tongue-and-groove section joints and a bottom weather seal further tighten the envelope against Oklahoma's extreme summer heat, winter ice storms, and spring wind events.
The 8680 gives OKC-area homeowners more design flexibility than any other wood-look garage door in its class. Choose from four panel designs — Horizontal Raised, Vertical Raised, Sonoma, or Horizontal V-Groove — each featuring a distinct, authentic wood-grain pattern embedded in the fiberglass. Then select from 10 rich stained finishes ranging from warm Natural Oak and Red Oak to deep Walnut, Mahogany, and Honduran Mahogany, along with contemporary options like Gray and White.
